Miami City Ballet’s staging of “George Balanchine’s The Nutcracker” has always been a favorite of mine, especially with custom costumes and sets by Ruben and Isabel Toledo. I’m also wildly excited for the company’s Swan Ball on January 22 celebrating its North American premiere of Russian choreographer Alexei Ratmansky’s “Swan Lake” in February.
